Flickitty saves the position of all world objects at different times during gameplay. Unfortunately this leads to a problem with NEW objects, like the BLUE KEY- the key is never spawned.
This can be reset within the game:
1) Open the OPTIONS menu.
2) Put a CHECKMARK mark in RESET OBJECTS.
3) Tap DONE to close the OPTIONS menu.
4) Open the TASKS menu.
5) Tap the SECOND task and press SELECT.
6) Open the TASKS menu again.
7) Tap the FIRST task (coffee break) and press SELECT.
Unfortunately, this needs to be done with all 5 maps. However, once you do this, it shouldn't need to be done again.
This unfortunate oversight will be fixed in the next update.
On another note: the difficulty of Flickitty is finally being revealed to me by a few players. I will very likely make the unlocking of the map editor a lot easier. We are considering new ideas for Player and Map Modifiers as well- tell us your ideas. Is Immunity to all Hazards necessary?

I've got 1.05 downloaded from the Itunes, and I can't get Kitty to move off his perch on the mines infrastructure. I can stretch out his neck, but then it just snaps back and he stays right where he was. I tried the above sequence on the off-chance that would help, but it had no effect. Any suggestions? Even suggestions about how it might be operator error? Thanks.

I have never seen that problem before. Have you tried switching maps?

Open the main menu (the squarish icon in the upper right screen, with the exclamation mark).
Tap the 'Map' button to open the map menu. Tap any icon (except the one that is pulsing) and then press the 'Go' Button. That will take you to a new map and reset the spawns.
The controls are fairly simple- you can stretch the cats head really far, and then release. That should throw him into the air. I haven't seen him get hung up on anything yet.

OK, I'm fine now, but can't tell you what I did! I reset my ipod -- nothing. Then went to the other maps -- he worked fine in those. Finally, back to the mines and he's jumping all over. This is a very cool game, BTW!
