The Mario Kart Series is famous for its Mirror Cups; in these Cups, all of the courses are flipped. Mario Kart 64 was the first game to utilize a Mirror Cup style of a race, simply call "Extra" in the Mario Kart GP; it was not available in Battle Mode or in Time Trial Mode.
To Unlock "Extra", obtain the gold trophy in the 150cc Special Cup by placing first overall.
