Intro

 

One of the biggest factors in a characters ability to fight in Dissidia Final Fantasy is his or her equipment. Without sufficient equipment, your character will find him or herself dealing little damage, having low HP totals, low defenses, and a low initial Bravery scores. In Dissidia, characters level up faster than you can obtain equipment with equal equip levels. Normally your first level 100 character most likely only find him/herself carrying Lv50-70 equipment... Not so good. The reason is the higher level equipments require certain trade accessories and equipments to obtain. Most of these very rare trade accessories can be obtained from Elixer class items such as Dry-Elixer, Elixer, Hi-Elixer, and MegaElixer. These accessories can be won in the Duel Colosseum for around 18 medals each. Other high level weapons can only be obtained as rare drops from high level enemies. No matter what it may require to obtain these weapons, this guide can tell you what you'll need to obtain items from Lv1 all the way to Lv100.
I. Character Equipment Options
Each character in Dissida: Final Fantasy can equip certain types of Weapons, Gloves, Headgear, and Armors. Because of this, many of the characters initial equipment choices in terms of types can be limited (excluding Bartz who can equip just about anything). This section will give you a brief list of what types of equipments each character can initially use.
Info As you progress in the game, you will eventually be able to exchange certain rare trade accessories for abilities that allow a character use a selected type of equipment. This makes it possible for characters to equip just about anything they want... But the abilities do cost 20 CP to use and 500 AP to master.

VII. Purchasable Equip Abilities
Ever wished your Cloud could equip Heavy Armors or Katana? Well you can! Any character can purchase the ability to Equip a corresponding type of equipment whether is be Swords or Ribbons. Each ability, however, requires a very rare "*blank* Lore" trade accessory, 20 CP to equip and 500 AP to master! Ouch!!! Once you master an equip ability, you will also receive a new ability that improves the effectiveness of the corresponding equipment type... I personally don't recommend these bonus abilities, but mastering the Equip ability will reduce the CP cost so mastering these abilities to equip a new equipment type is well worth the trouble.

Here is how the following table works...
  • Name of Ability: what equipment type the ability will allow you to use
  • Lore Required: What Lore trade accessory you will need
  • Before in Shop: Where you need to obtain one of these Lores before they can be made in the shop. They are found in a rare chest on certain story maps

VIII. Recipe Item Codes

 

This section covers the codes that need to be entered to obtain the Recipe trade accessories needed to acquire certain equipment in the game. You need to enter these codes in the personal message box of your friend card. When entering these codes, you will not have your original personal message erased so don't worry about having to clear it to enter the codes.
