How to maximize your kills (score) in Minigore

Minigore is a 3D survival shooter for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game is all about John Gore, a little square fellow, who finds himself surrounded by the furries – hairy, round creatures with particularly sharp teeth. Your mission is to defend John at all cost by killing as many furries as possible.

WeaponDescription
Machine GunDefault Weapon, Unlimited Ammo
ShotgunYou only get 20 shots at once, use them wisely
Firey Ox!!John turns into a flaming ox after you collect 3 green clovers. It's like when you get a star in Super Mario Bros. You can just run over enemies.

Shotgun is good for killing furries that are bundled together

Flaming Ox, RAWRRRR!!!!

Enemy TypeDescription
Mini FurrySmall and easy to kill
FurrySplits into several Mini Furries when killed
Giant FurrySplits into several Furries when killed
Flaming FurryOn fire and moves extremely fast - even faster than John!
General Strategies:
  • Stay away from corners and edges of screen, and do not get surrounded
  • Always kill the Flaming Furries first
  • Save the clovers and shotgun shells for later
What to do with Four-leaf Clovers:
  • Think of Four-leaf clovers as stars from Super Mario Bros. Once you collect 3 of them, John turns into a flaming ox which you can easily run over enemies without worrying being hurt.
  • You should always have 2 clovers collected at any time
  • Save the 3rd one on the floor, it will not disappear. Pick it up only when you absolutely need it
When to use the shotgun:
  • You only get 10 shots, so save the shotgun shells by not picking it up! It won't disappear
  • Shotgun is best used when furries are all bundle together. You can run around and try to wait until the furries gather into a group
Most importantly... have fun!!!

What's your high score?
Nice tips although staying away from the sides and corners is easier said than done. Maybe it's my big thumbs but I sometimes find it hard to fire the way I want it to. =)
