  • The Quest Player Please, please help me! I didn't have an iTunes gift card-and there was no way in hell my mom would let me purchase a game with her credit card, so I ..err downloaded the quest gold from installous-the thing is, it was only version 6.0 so I can't install my quest expansions ( which I purchased with a credit card). And I can't update it on installous because the 6.0 was the only version available! I know it was terrible and I'm willing to pay double if it means fixing it without starting over - is there any way I can transfer my character, or get a cracked version, or buy a new one with my saved game??? Please, I'm very sorry! Please help!

    • Kaos999 My iPod isn't jailbroken, but I've heard there's a way to get files and save files onto and off a jailbroken iPod. If you did that, you could take your saves off, install the legit, newest quest, then put the files back. Visit toucharcade.com and ask in the "jailbreaking" section on how to do that, and they should help.

    • Kaos999 Is that in Ice and Fire? I never found that quest. Where was it?
    • snoozysue Yes it's Ice and Fire. If you turn Borg the counterfeiter in to the guards you get a reward from the innkeeper but if you go to the back door you get a reward from Lennora the demoted barmaid (some food and a fame increase) She then asks you to give Berg a laxative by going to prison but I said no to that but I wondered what happened - presumably you have to get thrown in the clink first.
    • Kaos999 That would explain what happened; I turned him in to the innkeeper. I got thrown in jail to have a look around and he's in there, but clearly without the quest there's nothing to do.

    • snoozysue If you have the enchant spell you could enchant something with max Persuade but this early in the game you probably haven't or access to anything with enchant capacity. Basdically if yu want to do the quest now I'd pay the 200 gp as it's a lot easier. Otherwise wait until you HAVE got the Enchant spell and enchanted some gear or until you've paid a trainer to train up in Persuade and go back and do the quest then - it's not timed so you can do it later. You need 24 Persuade so you will have to get to Vastares to find a trainer (Lena the Streetwalker) who can train you up to that level.
    • snoozysue Note - if you spend the 200 gp the Kingsom agent rewards you with 800 so you still make a 600 gp profit!
