Champion FAQ
Q: What is a "Champion"?
A: PlayHaven is an universe of communities for all the great games out there. Champions are essentially the leaders of each individual communities. Typically, they are the most active and/or most helpful players in each community.
Q: How do I become a Champion?!
A: Pretty simple: you earn points! For every positive actions you perform for a givengame community, you will receive a certain amount of points (please see the table on the top of this page for the exact breakdown). There are two (2) Champions per game communities. If you are the top 2 on the leaderboard, you will automatically receive Champion status.
Q: What is "Checking-In"?
A:
If you tell us which games you are interested in everyday, we will acknowledge your commitment and factor it into your Champion score. You do this by "checking-in" to each of your favorite games. Here are some tips for checking-in:
- You can only check-in once per day per game
- You can check-in with as many games as you like
- You will recieve one point per check-in
- You may check-in through PlayHaven enabled iPhone games
Q: Why should I become a Champion? What's in it for me?!?
A: You need more reasons than being the leader of a community?! Ok ok... in order to thank you for your efforts, the Champion status comes with a variety of benefits.
Primarily, you may have noticed there are A LOT of developers participating in their PlayHaven communities. One of the main reasons they are here is to look for folks to help them beta test their new games! Besides being recognized as the leader of a community, developers will also recognize you as the most active and knowledgeable fan. We have asked our developer partners to give Champions first pick when they are looking to give out promo codes.
Additionally, you will receive special privileges and statuses throughout the entire site when you are a Champion. We will let you to figure these out yourself :)
Q: Can I be Champion for multiple games?
A: Absolutely! As long as you can keep up with all the competitions.
Q: How were the points acquisition methods chosen?
A: The are three primary qualities we look for in Champions:
- Passion - How active are you? How much do you love this game?
- Knowledge - Could you share your knowledge of the game and benefit those who need help?
- Compassion - Do you actively participate in discussions and help other community members?
